Disciplines

Disciplines

Babbage undertook the works in two stages. In the first stage Babbage completed an options assessment to consider how the screens can be orientated and fit into the existing space. The second stage included preparing a specimen design and tender documents for a Design and Construct Contract.  Babbage formed part of the Tender Evaluation Team.

Challenges

The challenge was to fit the largest capacity screen on the existing structure to eliminate civil works. This required a detailed survey of the plant and working with suppliers to fit a drum screen in the constrained space. Sequencing of the works to ensure that the plant downtime was minimised to ensure the plant remained compliant.
