The existing Mangawhai Wastewater Treatment Plant had a design capacity for 3,000 connections (residential equivalent). The Plant would have reached capacity by mid to late 2024, and to expand the capacity to 5,000 connections an InDense unit was required as a cost-effective solution.
Babbage was engaged for Project Management of the installation of an InDense system at the Mangawhai Wastewater Treatment plant. The role required management of the Contract and co-ordination between the client, designer and contractor.
We also coordinated the procurement of the InDense unit to be free issued to the contractor for installation.
As the client's agent we ensured that progress was monitored regularly and problems were resolved promptly which enabled the project to be completed ahead of schedule and commissioned in a timely manner.
