Babbage’s Stijn Van den Eeden (Associate Principal – External Envelope) recently presented at the Building Science Summit NZ, held on 2, 4 and 6 March in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.
Stijn shared practical insights on the design and installation of warm roofs, a topic gaining increasing attention as the industry works to improve building performance and adopt technologies that help future-proof buildings.
Drawing on his project experience, Stijn discussed some of the challenges he has encountered and outlined a range of practical safeguards that can help manage risk when using this approach.
“The audience was very engaged with this hot topic and contributed in depth to the conversation,” says Stijn.
The summit brought together hundreds of international and local building science experts and industry leaders to discuss the application of building science in practice. Events such as this play an important role in advancing conversations around durability, resilience and performance in the built environment.
We would like to thank Pro Clima for the opportunity to be involved and for organising such a well-attended and insightful event.
