Babbage joined industry leaders, partners and practitioners at Water New Zealand's Stormwater Conference & Expo 2026, showcasing innovative projects and sharing insights on integrated stormwater outcomes.
In May, the Babbage team attended Water New Zealand's Stormwater Conference & Expo 2026 at the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, connecting with industry peers, partners and attendees from across the country.
A highlight of the event was Infrastructure Lead, Suman Khareedi's presentation on the Revitalisation of Hakanoa Stream. The paper explored how the site was transformed from a degraded waterway into a thriving community asset through a nature-based design approach, demonstrating how stormwater, environmental and community outcomes can be successfully integrated to create lasting value.
Our Infrastructure, Civil Engineering and Environmental Science & Engineering teams welcomed visitors to our expo stand where we shared insights into the projects and challenges shaping New Zealand's communities. The stand provided an opportunity to discuss innovative approaches to water management, resilience and sustainable infrastructure.
Events such as the Stormwater Conference & Expo play an important role in bringing the industry together to share knowledge, celebrate innovation and advance better outcomes for communities and the environment. We thank everyone who stopped by to meet the team and look forward to continuing the conversations and collaborations sparked throughout the event.
